FLUIDFORM LOVES

This month, I am sharing everything I am admiring, digesting, how I am moving and things I am trying. And most importantly, how I am transitioning from Winter to Spring with Fluidform.

ADMIRE

This month I am admiring the bassike core collection for movement, relaxation and everything in between. Made locally in Australia, this organic cotton is my favourite transeasonal activewear both in and out of the studio.

DIGEST

This month, I am reading Atomic Habits: Tiny Changes, Remarkable Results by James Clear. For anyone who has just completed Fluidform Your Body or another challenge, this book could not be more relevant to setting yourself goals, celebrating small wins and making incremental lifestyle changes for lifelong results. Here is one of my favourite quotes.

“Complaining about not achieving success despite working hard is like complaining about an ice cube not melting when you heated it from twenty-five to thirty-one degrees. Your work was not wasted; it is just being stored. All the action happens at thirty-two degrees. Two tectonic plates can grind against one another for millions of years, the tension slowly building all the while. Then, one day, they rub each other once again, in the same fashion they have for ages, but this time the tension is too great. An earthquake erupts. Change can take years–before it happens all at once.

Mastery requires patience. The San Antonio Spurs, one of the most successful teams in NBA history, have a quote from social reformer Jacob Riis hanging in their locker room: “When nothing seems to help, I go and look at a stonecutter hammering away at his rock, perhaps a hundred times without as much as a crack showing in it. Yet at the hundred and first blow it will split in two, and I know it was not that last blow that did it-but all that had gone before.”

MOVE

This month I am focusing on stretching and recovery following the 6-week Fluidform Your Body challenge. And there is no better way of moving than in my Pangaia tracksuit! Follow this stretch and recovery sequence with all my favourite movements to improve mobility through my hips and spine.

TRY

This month, I am trying our Green Goodness smoothie recipe for breakfast a few mornings a week as we transition from Winter to Spring. This creamy smoothie is light and soothing (includes fresh mint!) and packed with fibre.
