Teen Moves with Fluidform

Fluidform launches Teen Moves.

A note from Kee

Some of you may know, my eldest daughter Charlie underwent an appendectomy when she was 12 years old. I worked with her over 12 months to gently reconnect her abdominals post-surgery, bringing them back together through breath work and functional movement. Body awareness, core strength and stability is an area I feel deeply connected to and passionate about. When it comes to guidance and education in this space, resources are limited.

Having worked within the health industry for over 25 years I can acknowledge the progress which has been made in unravelling the dangers and discomforts around body image. However, day to day I continue to witness struggles and pain, specifically in young women. Young girls are following Youtube workout videos or taking up running in order to look a certain way. Coupled with carrying oversized school bags and playing intense sports – our teens are over-using joints and muscles without any concept of body awareness, core connection and stability. Without this, imbalances can develop in their lower back, hips and pelvis which can lead to long-term injuries and pain. Not to mention the damage it does to their confidence and sense of self.

As a mother of three young girls and teacher to so many parents with young children, I hope to help navigate positive body awareness in young people, through discovering a mind-body connection, teaching the importance of core strength and the power of functional movement, specific to the growing, changing and developing teen bodies. I want to teach young people that exercise goes beyond any physical benefits – it has the ability to transform the way we breath, move and live with confidence.

Love, Kee x

Teen Moves with Fluidform

Teen Moves will be available across Fluidform Studios and Fluidform at Home, with dedicated classes and a comprehensive online program that acknowledges and communicates the need for considered exercise and effective movement for young adults. This has come from first-hand experiences in the studio and Kirsten at home – the lack of education around effective exercise for young adults and the importance of core strength, body awareness and body positivity during the teenage years. There are some alarming statistics around young girls and physical activity. By the age of 14 years, 43% of young girls who once considered themselves ‘sporty’ disengaged from sport after primary school (often compulsory). For reasons including a fear of feeling judged by others (68%), lack of confidence (61%) , pressure of schoolwork (47%) and not feeling safe outside (43%). (womeninsport.org).

When it comes to guidance and education in this ever-evolving space, resources are limited. Teen Moves will help parents and teenagers navigate positive body awareness, abdominal connection, postural strength and effective movement, specific to the growing, changing and developing teen bodies.

Launching October 20th, 2025 on the Fluidform at Home app.
