Daily Rituals, Finding Balance & Feeling Beautiful.
In Conversation With Fluidform Ambassador, Emma Hoareau
This is Emma. Emma has been a member of Fluidform at Home since 2021. It was during the pandemic that Emma fell in love with at-home movement, using Fluidform at Home daily to support both her emotional and physical wellbeing. During a time when our health was at risk, intentional movement to protect our strength and wellbeing was so important. Emma found a routine with Fluidform she has continued over the past five years, her every own personalised movement and wellness program, in her back pocket or in her suitcase. In 2022, we brought Fluidform to London to connect with our ambassadors and community. Since then, Emma has frequented our Bondi studio during trips to Australia, and taken Fluidform at Home with her on every holiday, always coming back to personalised, purpose-led movement for her mind and body. We sat down with Emma to chat about the inspiration behind her Australian-made, skin and body oil, Sancta Solis, her daily at-home rituals for staying grounded and her advice for improving our relationship with ourselves.
Hello Emma!
You are a Fluidform at Home member of close to 5 years, and beyond this you are a skin and wellness expert, creator and photographer living in London. You have long believed in the simple, daily rituals that can be done from home, to support your skin and wellbeing from the inside out.
What are your top 3 at-home rituals for daily wellbeing?
I love my morning rituals! My day always starts with a herbal tea to rehydrate myself as soon as I wake up, putting on body oil and of course moving my body, whether that’s gentle stretches, Qigong or a Fluidform workout!

How do you define beauty? What makes you feel beautiful?
I think beauty is so unique to us all, and for me I see beauty as much more than just a visual, it’s so much about energy and a feeling, and I think that’s why I feel most beautiful when I feel grounded, present in my body and my mindset is positive.
How do you define wellness? When do you feel most well?
For me wellness is balance. That’s what I’m always chasing – life happens and throws off balance – whether that’s emotionally, physically or energetically. So for me I feel the most well when I have a sense of inner homeostasis, and I’ve found I get there by having daily rituals in place that ground me. They don’t need to take long but it’s the daily consistency that provides bookends or grounding moments to my day.
In your bag: 3 items you’re taking on vacation with you?
SPF always! I wear it everyday (even in London!) but always make sure to reapply more when I’m away – I’ve spent years getting rid of pigmentation so I won’t risk getting it back again. I take my film camera as one of my greatest joys is capturing the places I visit and creating visual memories. And thirdly – and this isn’t just because I’m speaking to you, my Fluidform kit. Even just my red and yellow band and my discs means I can do short workouts here and there which means I feel so much better overall, and helps me move more consciously after I’ve been on a long flight.

In your kitchen: 3 ingredients you always keep on hand?
Loose peppermint tea, coriander and dark chocolate.
What was the main inspiration behind the creation of Sancta Solis?
All 3 of us have such a love for body care because we know the effect even just 5 minutes of self-love and self touch can make to our nervous systems and how balanced we feel inside. So we decided to come together to create a body oil especially created to ground the mind and body, through scent and movement – which is why we have our beautiful Bian Stone Body Gua Sha too. I’ve worked in skincare for years so picked only the most necessary oils to deeply nourish and boost the skin cells while the scent is so calming – a friend once described it as a ‘calming breeze’ which I love because we didn’t want it to be over powering.
Ash and Sarah are mothers, too, and so their solo time is even more sacred, and the Sancta products provide you that moment of deep breathe out, time just for yourself.
When should we be incorporating this into our beauty routines?
We love using it post shower (or even in the sauna – the oil and stone both warm up, it’s an incredible feeling) but it can be used whenever you have the chance. I also love using the Body Gua Sha on my shoulders and neck, it has helped so much with my migraines and it’s great for releasing muscle tension post workout and boosting circulation and lymphatic drainage. We wanted the products to fit into your everyday life rather than be another thing on your to do list.
Your favourite budget/department store find?
I grew up in Paris so am a french pharmacy girl and have always used Avene Eau Thermale, which is a mineral water mist -it’s so calming on my sensitive skin and great for cooling down in the summer, too – I even keep it in the fridge when it’s hot out!

We always look for a “quick fix” or “hacks” to improve our health and wellbeing. At Fluidform, we are long believers in consistency over intensity – change doesn’t happen overnight. But if you had one piece of advice for improving your wellness and relationship with yourself, what would this be?
I totally agree, a quick fix lasts as long as it takes, whereas something consistent will last for as long as you’re consistent with it! In terms of advice I’d say don’t judge yourself for not being perfect – whether that’s working out everyday, eating right or doing all the things. Online these days there’s so much to take in and it’s easy to feel like you’re not doing enough. I feel like this even though I share online myself, so I like to remind myself that I am always doing the best I can in that moment – that capacity changes throughout seasons of life and that is totally fine. If I need to rest, that’s fine. That is life, that is being human. Thinking like this then allows me to take the pressure off myself, and ironically makes it feel much more natural to do the things that make me feel good and bleeds into my overall wellness.
